Privacy policy
I'm Mia Dhillon, and I run The Third Desk as a sole trader (ABN 23 929 642 539), providing company secretary and governance services. This policy explains how I collect, use and protect personal information through this website and in my work. I follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What I collect
- When you send a message: your name, organisation, email address, phone number (if you choose to give it) and your message.
- When you book a conversation: your name, email address, any notes you add and, if you choose SMS reminders, your mobile number.
- When we correspond: the information in emails and calls.
- When I work for your organisation: the information about directors, officers and members needed to run board meetings, keep statutory registers and lodge documents with regulators such as ASIC and the ACNC. Our engagement letter covers how I handle this information.
- When you visit this website: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and pages viewed. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you.
How I use it
I use personal information to reply to enquiries, arrange meetings, provide my services and meet my legal and record-keeping obligations. I don't sell personal information, and I don't add anyone to a mailing list without their consent.
Service providers and overseas storage
I use these service providers, which may store information outside Australia:
- Web3Forms delivers messages from the contact form to my email. It's based in the United States and keeps a copy of submissions for up to 30 days.
- Cal.com manages bookings and reminders. It's based in the United States.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and provides visitor statistics through its global network.
- My email and document storage providers (GoDaddy and Microsoft) hold correspondence and working files.
I choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect personal information.
Keeping information secure
I protect my accounts with two-factor sign-in, keep information only for as long as I need it for my work or as the law requires, and then delete or de-identify it.
